Spence Willard After School Sailing Group 1

After School Sailing follows the RYA Onboard Sailing Scheme.

This programme is for beginners and those with some basic sailing skills which allows cadets to try out sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking to get on the water for their first time.

The Onboard Scheme programme is also progressive, so you can enjoy theses sessions and then work your way through the RYA Youth Schemes.

As well as getting fresh air and exercise, children's sailing offer a wide range of invaluable life skills, from problem solving to confidence and teamwork.

The After School Sailing Programme is suitable for anyone aged between 8 - 14. No previous experience is needed to enrol on this course.

If you're thinking 'what should I wear? We would recommend a wetsuit, waterproof top and some wetsuit boots (old trainers will work just as well)

Learning to sail takes place between May - July with in 6x 2.5 hour sessions.

The OnBoard sessions are suitable for beginners to RYA Stage 3.
